Shawna was born and raised in Marion, Kansas. She has been in the medical field for more than 15 years. Her Registered Nursing (RN) career involves time spent in intensive care units, emergency department, operating room, and gastroenterology. Her educational background includes a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Kansas State University, a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas Medical Center, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wichita State University. She is board certified as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with certifications by the American Nurse Credentialing Center as an Adult Gerontology, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and has her post-doctorate certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She currently works full time at McPherson Center for Health and is owner of S&S MedSpa.

Katie is also a Marion, Kansas native graduating from Marion High School. She will soon be moving with her beautiful family back to her roots.  She graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor's in Medical Diagnostic Imaging.  She has been working in the medical field for 10+ years in the Wichita area.  Katie is also a Certified Neveskin Technician and Laser Technician.
